I have almost 10,000 miles on mine, and it still doesn't sound right. Dealer says it is ok. They are what activates your auto fast idle. Take them off if you dont like them. You also have a manual fast idle right by the key. When I put the aftermarket air box on mine I took them off. Your rattling in the headlight can be solved by putting that sound insolation from stereo stores on the inside of the housing where the plugs hit the metal. I did that right after I got it never have heard a thing since.
