New to riding. Will be taking MSF course on 8/31. This bike is one of the possibles I would interested in to start with. How does this bike compare to a Honda Nighthawk 750? Which is faster, more comfortable, ease of maintenance, etc?

Many more modern features to this bike although the nighthawk is a very dependable and reliable bike and almost maintenance free no valve adjustment in the nighthawk just oil changes and chain lubrication rock solid, however it has single disk up front and some consider staid styling suspension incorporates 2 shock system not as stiffer has drum brake in the rear no fairing seat somewhat supple.

Yet the zr7s has dual disk brakes up front and single disk in back its road manners are little more sportier and handling a little stiffer encourages you to push the bike a little more has a fairing sits little higher motor from older generation yet dependable and reliable rock solid also however valve adjustments are required after several 1000 miles could put a dent in the pocket. The trade off may warrant the extra expense

Just to poke a few holes in the Nighthawk. It's spoked not mag, drum rear brake, not disc and personally I found the powerband on the ZR much more useable.

I have the zr 7s and yes it quite the bike . alot more options on the kawasaki. Just had the six k service and it was 350 bucks. thats every six thousand miles. But to add the options on the nighthawk the kawasaki has and its about 1500 bucks. to thats four servicings.
