| I normally get 150 miles per tank on my 95 N/H before I go to reserve. I commute from/to work in SF bay area.
Hope this helps

| I have a 2002 nighthawk 750 and I get between 170 and 200 miles on a tank of gas, depending on how hard I ride it. That equates to about 45 to 52 miles per gallon. I don't know how far the reserve will take you but would guess around an additional 38 miles.

| On the Interstate, cruising at an indicated 75 mph, with 3 hard bags, up some grades, I switch onto reserve at 150 miles. That's a bit under 40 mpg. More conservatively ridden, without bags, I've seen 45-47 mpg. I don't know how some guys get over 50 mpg on their Nighthawks. I'd love to average 50 + mpg, but it looks like mid 40's and below for me.

| | I also get between 150 to 200 miles per tank with a windshield mounted. I ride primarily on hilly 2 lane roads in New England averaging 50 to 60 mph. |

| | I have a '98 Nighthawk with the Honda windshield and Chase-Harper ET-4000 saddle bags. I get 46-52 mpg with 93 octane fuel (10% ethanol), yielding 220-250 miles per tank. I attribute good mileage to conservative riding, either on 2-lane roads or the interstate. I have noticed the heavy head and crosswinds have a large impact on the economy, getting as low as 38 MPG at times, thus, I make it a habit to fill with 150 miles on the trip meter. I've had the bike for nearly 4 years and have 31k miles on it so far. |

| | I own a '91 750 NH and normally go 200-210 miles per tank before switching to reserve. This works out to about 50mpg on average. I do ride conservatively, rarely over 65 mph. |
