My Prairie 650 was faster than the 660 Grizs I've rode with. And now my 700 is even faster yet.

go down to your dealer and test ride both the prairie is definately faster. I think the grizzly is prettier, but a v-twin is going to beat out good looks any day. Also when you start them up notice the vibration in the handlebars kaw. has almost none, perfectly balanced machine, while the grizz shakes quite a bit at the bars

Some mag did a shootout with the 660 and the prairie 650, the Kawa was a little quicker, the 700 will beat it even more.

I dont know what kind of glue you guys are sniffing. Look at the question on the verry bottom of the page. The one that asks how fast Prairie 700 tops out. Most people said between 65 and 70. My Grizzly hits 70 (on flat dirt road) no problem. I think it would probably go aster if I set the acceleration limiter screw out an extra 2-3mm.

i HAVE AN '04 WITH 28" ITP mudlite, rest stock, and I ran away from a buddy on his 660. then we raced up a large steep hill in 4WH and I beat him to the top by over 10 ' with 2 others watching and laughing...
