| | i have had the 600 with water over the tops of the tires and did not notice any slipping. but i also was at a slow speed when i came out of the water.so i never got on the gas for a while after i exited the water due to the rough trail i was on. |

| | Since the snorkel is under the seat at the very top by the gas tank the belt won't slip unless you burry the bike in water |

| | I put my bike over the racks and if you go slow when you enter the water the belt wont get wet unless water gets spashed in or fluds in the sportsman comes from the factory with a drain plug for the belt housing |

| I had my 04 Sportsman 600 in water well above the floor boards at the Attica, In Bad-Lands this past Sunday. My belt slipped. My ATV has less than 10 hours of running time. So it doesn't have an old or bad belt. Thanks! Larry Cochrane
