I am looking to buy my first ATV, looking for a model between a 400cc to 500cc. This is to do work around my land, pull trailers with sand, pull dead trees etc.. not necessarily for trasil blazing. Which make??? I want something automatic, that is VERY dependable, like my toyota camry, doesn't break down often. I hear Honda's the best, what about Yamaha or Polaris?? Please help with my decision

I had the same delima a few months ago. After alot of looking at Artic-Cat 650le,Kawasaki 700, polaris, and yahama, I bought the Honda FourTrax 650 w/gps.I have no regrets. The 650 has lots of power for towing and getting through mud. A great ride with both automatic and electric shift. I also wanted a quad that is dependable. Honda had more positive reports and reviews then the others. Another good point was the real automatic shifter that is more in line with an auto. So far I like everything about this quad and really feel good with the decesion I made. I think you owe it to yourself to take a look at this fun and powerful quad! The only thing I've had trouble with is finding a good ATV/Quad parts & Accessories web site for this new bike. Any aftermarket web sites would be helpful!

I too was originally looking for a 500 CC 4x4 atv. After doing what I could to check out all of the different makes and models, I decided on the Arcit Cat 650. Primary reason over the 500 was that it really didn't cost much more than the 500. Personally as far as ATV/motorcycles go I think Honda, then Yamaha are at the top of the food chain. But they all have little features that make them different my final choice was between the AC 650 & Yamaha Grizzly, the reason I decided on the AC was durability, dealers (how many available locally), obviously price, who can provide honest service, etc. Basically the AC 500 has the Same Suzuki engine as the Vinson. I figure you just cant beat a Japanese engine for reliability!
