I have pulled a gravity box half full of soybeans around the yard weighing 5200 pounds with basically no problem...it was in low with 4WD on.The only problem was getting enough traction, which after getting up to speed, was eliminated.

Bottom line if you are in LOW gear the machine will tear itself apart before that damn belt slips. If it is used correctly, the belt is just as reliable as shaft linkage.

The belt doesn't slip when pulling heavy loads. I consistently pull 1000 lbs rocks and haul 1500 lbs dirt in a trailer without problem. The only time I ever noticed the belt burning was while dragging a harrow mat (drag mat) to level out a road but it was soaking wet right after a rain storm and that thick mud was real heavy. I just gave it a little more throttle and increased my speed to around 10 miles an hour while in low and 4 wheel drive.
