Well JT,Tell Dad that I have a recon TRX-250. I beleave ES but it could be EX.That clims hills real good allmost striet up. This thing will go and for a 400ex that is plenty of power. It will take you more than over the tops of the hills your ridding. So tell Dad I said yes thats perfect for you there safe to as long as you ride safely.

Tell your dad that it depends on how steep the hills are.... If they are to steep u will roll back down the hill.... im sure u know that.. a 400ex is a great bike i think it can climb any hill with no problem..

tell your dad if he can find a quad that is better than a 400ex you will buy him 1, because a 400ex is great and it will get over anything

i have an 04 400ex and it is the best hillclimber ive been on . it is small and nimble ,so you dont feel as if your gonna flip near as soon. i would much rather climb on an ex than any 4x4 out there and my dad has a 700 prarie

It's awesome at hillclimbing, but only if you know what you're doing. If you don't go up the hill and shift just right you'll stall out then you're f**ked.

Tell your dad that you don't want to tow trailers around or haul cow manure. You want to get chicks. The 400EX is way better at getting chicks than a Foreman. However your dad is probably right. The 400EX is to high geared to crawl around in the hills, you have to hit everything pretty fast to make it up. But on a brighter side - if you roll it on top of yourself its only half the quad to push off.
