153 is the stock main jet size. To maximize your performance without going radical try putting a 145 main jet out of the raptor in it and raise the fuel float level 3mm. chris

The big jet sitting between the floats , the main should be a #153.8 , the little one off to the side , the slow jet or ' pilot jet ' should be a #40 . There are two other jets ; a power jet #55 in the float bowl ( under the main ? ) and a second main jet #90 on the head side of the carb . This all from the factory parts manual available on a CD fron Yamama . Why would you install bigger main jets ? Unless you built the engine , changed a pipe / AC or are under the impression that more gas makes it go faster , the multi-billion dollar factory is usually reakky close on jetting . vago
