| Has anyone noticed a unusual rough vibration and fluttering sound from the engine say between 3&4000 RPM's?

| A friends 'Strom has a little rough spot in a tight band in the range you mentioned. Mine is smooth. Might be TPS adjustment? I think the motor is transitioning between lo and higer rpm range settings? Not really objectionable - .

| My V-Strom has this "rough spot" as well. I mentioned it to the technician when I had the 600 mile service performed. He claimed it wasn't a concern. It's a little less noticable now that the bike has 1700 miles but it's still there. Let me know if you find out anything.

| | Mine is fine, but a few owners are reporting this. The problem is in getting the throttle bodies synchronized, and some dealers require a couple of tries to get it right. |

| Yep. On acceleration it really grinds out the power. No bottom end under 4000 revs. I was dropping down two gears coming out of curves in the mountains to keep out of the lower revs where it vibrates a little. I would get wheelspin if I wasn't careful. Its a hotrod. James in south carolina

| In answer to all who have written thank you,They found a couple of things wrong with my DL1000. The dealer called Suzuki and found that the engine bolts were over torqued, causing transmission of a vibration. When they went to check it they found the pinch nut was loose. Be advised. The dealer finally acknowledged there was a real bad vibration and will talk with Suzuki about it. I have two very bright cycle tec's that feel it's in the primary side. Possibly the clutch. If so it may come apart at high speed's and lock up the rear end. Be advised. Mine going to be returned. Sad because it's a great bike. With now 3500mi. it has gotten much worse.

| Yes, Horrible., And local dealer in central Washington State dosen't know how to adjust bike proberly. Furthermore, they just want to ignore problems with that and performance and get me out of their hair.

| | The local shop here felt like Suzuki should have the problem resolved shortly with adjustment specs for the primary /secondary throttles in the fuel injectionsystem. |

| My bike has only 200 miles and has a bad vibration in this rpm range. I started checking other vstrom sites and see that it is a common problem that is usually fixed with a replacement clutch basket. I hope a clutch basket does the trick because 3-4k is just where this detuned tl motor should love to play.
