| | It depends a lot on what you are looking for and how you plan on using it. I have been researching VERY heavily for the last month. The Kawasaki is the best in class choice if you are a very aggressive rider. The Honda Rincon is the softest ride (be careful if you are AT ALL aggressive). The Polaris is the heaviest and has only 2 options for traction (2 or 4). Everything I've found points me to the Prairie 660. Independant suspension, most ground clearance, 2WD, 4WD or Locked dif 4WD options using only buttons. It has park and only weighs 600 pounds (lightest). The best review I have found was in October 2002 "farm industry news". They hit every possible area. You can get one in Mississippi @ lake hill motors (lakehillmotors.com) for $6399. Hands down, this is THE bike if you aren't hard core! |

| You should look into the Grizly it has a higher top speed and has 11.5 inches of ground clearence. The prarie has only 7.5 inches of ground clearence and that is minimal for even a midsize atv. Besides the praire does not even have independent rear suspension.

| In my opinion, yes. I drove them all, and I bought the prairie. The best!

| | I do not know where somebody got the idea a grizzly would out run a prarie 650. Forget about it a prarie will smoke a grizzly from start to finish and even in top end. I thought the same about the ground clearance though it seems crazy for a 650 to have 7.5 inches of clearance. I was skeptical until I seen it in the mud it looks like it would bottom out but it just throws all the mud out the holes. It is so quick when going thru a mud hole it just slides thru the mud. |

| | The best for racing in mud, on trails and for overall performance. BUT the stock tires are the worst on the market. I have an 02' and have been riding with a 600 grizzly and a 660 with IRS as well as a Honda 500 and a polaris 700. I have to slow down so that they will still ride with me on the trails. It makes a good rider great because of the lower center of gravity and quickness. The rear breaks are not exposed so stopping while wet and muddy is not a problem. Just search for reviews. If you are a casual rider, go with the Polaris, its American Made and still a very nice machine! |
