I have a friend that says that Mojave lights go on and off when you drive at slow speeds, but when you go faster they don't and it's really confusing trying to get it into reverse and I'm not sure about that because I was planning to get one, so I was hoping to find someone to help me.

your friend's mojave is probaly messed up; the lights shouldn't come on if the switch isn't on as for the reverse figure it out

well if the lights acually shut off it's messsed up but when you have your lights on and you hit the gas they get brighter cause it's run off your motor and when your just sitting there they start to die out cause your rpm's are low. if that's the problem it's fine

The brightness of the light will fluctuate with engine speed, but should never go on and off, as long as the engine is running. The reverse proceedure is easy. When in 1st gear, twist reverse knob and push shifter down. There it is. Get one. They are nice.

The light will vary in intensity because there is no battery to keep the light at a constant level. It runs off of the stater, which it's output(at low RPM) is less than what the amount of current needed for maximum brightness. At faster speeds, the intensity is constant due to the larger amount of current being produced. Voltage regulation keeps the bulb from being blown out.

Reverse is simple. Squeeze the clutch, put it in first, then turn the reverse knob and down shift again. EASY!

I took the reverse line out. I don't need the knob. The shift order goes
R - 1 - N - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5. Screws people up when they ride it. I have had no problem with the reverse. Lights will flucuate with engine speed. Don't worry about it!!

The lights on the Mojave are powered by the magneto, so the faster you go the brighter the lights get. If you don't like that get a quad with a battery. Getting the mojave into reverse is not that tricky. First, make sure your running good oil ( Castrol ), Stop the quad completely in first gear. Pull in the clutch, twist the reverse knob, and click the shifter down one. Stop going backwards before you go back into forward gears.
