I have 16,500 miles on my 2002 VFR... and am starting to look at modifications. Anyone else with a 02 or 03 VFR have any mods like staintune pipes and a power commander? I definatley like the sound of the Staintune, but my biggest question is if the Power Comander is really worth it... if the Staintune pipes change the air/fuel curve enough for the PC to make any difference. Also, besides the normal mods like the hard sadle bags, carbon fiber hugger, and others, what other cool mods are out there for the 02 and 03's?

Ok, so ive done this twice now on this post... I do not have 16,500 miles on the bike... considering i just got it 3 weeks ago, that would be more than amazing. The correct number (duh) is 1,650 miles! (Proof you don't have to be good with numbers to love motorcycles!)

I installed staintunes and the fuel injection has noticed any difference. The flat spot is still around 4500 rpm and of course the transition to 4valve's at 7000 rpm has a hesitation. I would look forward to hear from someone putting a power comander on the new vfr..good luck james

I have a 2003 VFR. I had a power commander, k&n filter, and two brothers racing "stash" exhaust system installed about 7,000 miles ago. It made about a 3-4 horse power differance, the engine sounds mean ass hell now, and the throtle response has improved amazingly. That's not to mention the fact that the fake exhaust canister makes for some very needed storage space. There is still the annoying clicking between two-four valves when cruising between five or six thousand rpms, and the transition from those 2-4 valves is extremelly noticable at higher gears, when I'm not punishing the throttle. Over all, I'm pleased with the little bit that I've invvested into my bike.
let me know where I can find carbon fiber hugger and replacement front fender. I haven't been able to find anything other than the above mentioned mods. I'm still hungry for more horsepower.....oh I almost forgot to mention that the seat of the pants feel of the motorcycle after all of this makes it feel like I added ten horses!
