2006 Suzuki Boulevard S83Expand / Collapse

I have a 2006 S83. Inotice some folks take out the baffles, what harm can this do IE: burnt valves and such.

If you modify the pipes too much, you will have to rejet the carbs to keep the bike from running lean. If you only drill some small holes in the pipes then you may be able to get away with only that.

I have a 2005 S83 that has always been very difficult to impossible to start below 45-50 degrees. Very recently I decided to remove the rear baffles of each pipe to perhaps get a little sound out of her. Sure enough I noticed an increase in zip & zap but was absolutley stunned to discover one morning that the bike will start @ 40 degrees on the 1st or 2nd try.... could not believe it. The bike is running better now than the day I rode it home new and it has over 8,000 miles on it.
