Do any other 1200R owners think they could have put the horn button in a better place. Three times I have been getting cut off on the highway (fast speeds) and reached for the horn button only to flip on my high beams. In an emergency the horn button should be quick to access without feeling or looking for it. It sits right next to the high beam button and is identical in shape and size. The horn button goes down to activate the horn but the light button goes up. Unless you get it right (which in an emergency situation is iffy at best) they prevent you from doing either (you get in the middle of the two and because of their opposite action neither gets pushed the right way). Unless you know you're going to need it in advance and ride with your finger on it you'll probably miss it, confuse it with the high beam button or push them both and never get the horn to honk until it's too late.

I share your frustration with the horn-switch location however the problem is likely more due to the fact that we seldom use it (esp. compared to the other switches).
That said, I think it might be better in traded places with the high/low beam switch. I ride more often in the daytime when we're all actually less visible (if that makes any sense). It's hard to miss the motorcycle lights in the dark. I tend to ride with my highbeam on in the daytime anyway so I don't need to be constantly accessing it.

Oddly, I can't remember the last time I needed the horn during night-riding.
