Is 805 cc too much power for a first bike for someone whose only experience is the MSF course. I am 5'7, 150 lbs and 63 years old.

how did you do in the course? Were you a confident rider or a nervous one? Weight of the bike is probably a bigger factor - it's real easy to just not hammer the throttle back - steering dynamics and weight are more important. The s50 at 443 lbs is a big jump from the sub 300lb MSF bikes but still manageable. I rode a 390lb Rebel 450 after my MSF and within 100 miles was very comfortable on it.

The bike weight is the main factor that makes the difference. The power is to be harnessed by throtle. This bike is the lightest in its catagory as far as I have seen. You will need the extra steam on the Freeway
