| I am interested in this bike for a long journey around North America and into Mexico and down to South America. Any and all reviews and opinions on this bike and durability, maintenance, etc. would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

| Unfortunately, this is not the bike you want for such a trip. It may LOOK like an adventure touring bike, but has the ancient HD Sportster motor that was never intended for that kind of use. This bike is very unreliable on the street, I wouldn't even consider taking it offroad. Buell motorcycles are quite probably the most unreliable motorcycles currently being made. For a trip like you are planning, my first choice would be a BMW GS,or KTM Adventure, if those are too expensive, a Kawasaki KLR650 is the next logical choice. It is dirt cheap, and proven reliable.
