| I have been the proud owner of a 2005 Honda VTX1800N for a month now. Have managed to cover just over 1000 miles (1700 kilometers) in spite of the wintry weather in Ontario, Canada. My previous bike was a 2005 VTX1300R. An excellent machine but of course I had to have more. Here’s my second question (first was about the Cobra exhaust). The 1800N seems to run out of first gear awfully fast – is that normal? It really seems to rev higher than the 1300 did in the first 3 gears in fact. Or is that just the newness or me being overly cautious with the lower gears? In fourth and fifth the 1800 is a dream machine for sure.
