| Would anyone knows how I could get my CRF450X bike street legal? I am planning a long back road trip.
Thanks

| | You need to get a brake light and brake switch, then register it and insure it. To be 100% honest, I know of people that have had lots of transmission problems occure because of riding the 450X on the street. The tranny can't handle the torque on the pavement, and also the tranny is not made to do continues long stretches at high speed, for example highway driving. This is bad on the bike. If you want to do a long bike/off road trip, you would be better off getting a true dual sports bike, or even a true trail bike with brake lights and turn signals etc.... The 450X is not made for the street, and you will end up damaging the tranny, I guarantee it. |
