I'm guessing everyone has the issue that if you park your bike in the hot sun the gas tank builds up pressure and sounds like a tea kettle. Other than always parking in the shade is there a way to not have this happen? It must not be that safe to have gas vapors escaping from around the gas cap like that.

I don't know if it is safe or not, but mine does the same.

I have two bikes right now, used to have four. I have not had that problem with any of them and they are all different bikes. The gas tank must have venting that recirculates the fumes through the motor, and I suspect that has something to do with what you are experiencing.
