i was told that this bike has a battery problem of some sought.. it dies on you w/o any warning.. it's some sought of manufactures glitch?.. something to do with battery connectors.. can some one explain exactly what that is.. it would be my first bike,,and i don't know anything about fixing them even less.. i need something reliable..
please let me know what you think...

Connectors not properly tightened by the dealer when you pick it up. Check out the Yahoo groups Vulcan 500 forum there have been a few posts on the topic. It's a 5 minute fix with an adjustable wrench or vice grips. http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/EN500/
