| I have a 1969 Bonny. My problem is pinking. I've had the head deleaded. Retarded ignition 2 deg. Run on Octimax with Miller's Bouster. Jetted up from 210 to 220 running without air filters. The only way out of this problem I can see is to bring down the compression ratio std. 9:1 to 8.5:1 by fitting a base gasket between the crankcases and barrels. Can you tell me the thickness of gasket I would need and would it be better made out of alloy or copper? Alternatively, any other suggestions?
