I am looking to buy a motorcycle this summer, and it will be my first. I was just wondering if this would be a good choice. I've heard alot of people say a 600 would be a good beginner, but you grow out of them too quickly. Is this engine too big? From enerything I've heard these are great bikes, i just wanted to make sure it would be a good choice for a first bike. Thanks!

This would be a okay, but not good choice. The people who start out with a 600 are usually irresponsible, or uninformed. 100+
horsepower is not for a newbie, motorcycle death statistics confirm that. Avery good choice would be a ninja 250 or 500 and when you grow out of that you can buy your dream bike. Your initial reaction may be to say your different and can handle it, but many who said that occupy a plot in your local cemetary.
