| I'm 43 and grew up on enduros. Bike looks great. So would you say it could maintain 60mph comfortably for 10 miles or so? Also My son (about to turn 16) would be the primary rider. How well would it be for him? He has had two dirt bikes but never on the road.
Thanks,
Jim

| Depending on weight 60 mph shouldnt be a problem for that many miles but he would have to break in the engine properly first. I mean if your 220lbs. you dont want to be redlining the rpms because your weight exceeds the engines torque and power. Im 170 pounds and I get my bike up to 65 mph @ 9000 rpms with plenty of throttle left 70 mph would be easy. Elevation has alot to do with it also, if its going to be a street bike you could reduce the rear sprocket by a few teeth and this should get him better top end but will decrease his bottom end. That means better highway speeds and less off the line power, but this will require carb tweeking due to the gear ratio change. personally depending on his build i'd leave it factory and he shouldnt have a problem with it as long as he do the maintenance, this bike is my daily rider and i put 50 miles on her round trip...nothing but highway miles @ 55-60 mph and i still get 100+ miles per gallon.
