If you make any significant changes to the exhaust you will need to re-jet or any power you gain will be lost in the mis-match. I have an 06 with the vance and hines sideshots with the screaming eagle air cleaner and re-jet. If you can afford it I definitely recommend the upgrade.

I have an 05 1200 Custom and drilled the stock slip ons also. You will definently need to add the Screaming Eagle air kit and stage 1 carb upgrade. After these changes the bike sounds better and runs much better. This is called the Harley tax which is due to EPA crap!!!
