Depending on the pipes, a 1 and 3/8 inch metal cutting hole saw should do the trick...if you have a good relationship with your dealer...they may be able to varify the size for your pipes.

Don't do it. Someday those stock pipes will be worth something to somebody wanting to return a bike to stock original condition. If you molest them they will sound cheap anyway. Bite the bullet and buy some good, loud slip on mufflers. There are about a hundred different options out there.
