| I've narrowed my search down to between the 1700 Roadstar and the 1600 Classic. Any advice on the two bikes?

| They're both great bikes. Get the one that suits your needs and speaks to Your Heart . Enjoy the ride ! Thor

| I kinda agree with Thor but remember the roadstar has a belt drive and the Classic is shaft (belt requires adjust but shaft can be a little more jerky) Also, the Roadstar is air cooled while the Classic is water cooled. My knowledge says go water cooled if you live in a hot climate. Both have hydraulic valve adjusters which makes it maintinance free (no valve adjustments every 6-8K miles). My choice was the Classic, therefore I'm certainly bias. Whatever you decide, join a riding club like Southern Cruisers. I ride much more and its a blast.

| | The Road Star is carburated and the 1600 Clasic is fuel injected, if that matters to you. The Road Star weighs in at 721 pounds, a bit more than the Classic. |
