| I have promised myself a 50th birthday present of a motorcycle having been off bikes for twenty years. (kids, mortgage, cars, wives, you know how it is) I used to ride a Norton 650ss which I loved. I am 6ft 1in tall and weigh 110kg. is the Monster 620 i.e. the best motorcycle for me?

| Of course, Go out and buy a monster 620.
It has enough power, good handling, wonderful sound, and it's a Ducati

| The monster is great but the 620ie is probably not best for you. It is the only monster built smaller than its siblings- shorter forks lower suspension etc. and monsters are not big machines to begin with--the 750 and 900 are definately better for you in regards to physical size. Displacement?? maybe you'll want more pull than the 620 can give due to your weight, but maybe not. check out the older m600 if you want a 600 because the bike itself should be a little bigger size wise.
good luck

| The BEST motorcycle for you is the one that I have, the Kawasaki W650. If you have fond memories of Brit bikes you'll love it. Do a search on Google for W650 and you'll find all kinds of info. My bike has superbike bars and a small screen fitted and it's perfect. Plenty of power, nimble handling and EVERYONE will stop to ask you about it. Very flattering. Have a look!

| I just got an '02 Monster 620 and I love it. I am the same height and weight as you and I've found this bike has no problems getting me moving quickly. I would seriously consider it. Plus, it sounds and looks great.
