| Im a loyal yamaha fan i have a 650 Vstar i love it but want to trade up. Today i sat on a Nomad 1600 god it felt great. My question is im 5' 6" and my feet sem to be flat on the ground 90% at least. How will this be from a 650 to 1600 is that to much of a jump. I have 3000 miles under my belt and want to take this experience to the next level to include passenger riding and touring. whats your thoughts ? thanks JB in NY

| Make no mistake, its a big bike, but if you can easily place both feet on the ground. The difference in highway ride between what your used to and the Nomad is going to be substantial. take the plunge!

| The Nomad is big but it handles very well. You should be able to make the adjustment with a little practice. DO IT you won't be sorry.

| I traded up from a Vstar 650 and I have no regrets! I'm 5'7" and have no problem with feet on the ground, depending on terrain obviously! It's a comfortable bike and I really think you will have no regrets at all. Riding 2-up took a little getting used to because it is a bigger/heavier bike but my comfort level rose quickly. I'd recommend it for sure.

| The nomad handles better than any bike I have ridden of the same size and weight. If you can handle your 650 you can handle a nomad. If your still not comfortable with the smaller bike then hold off a little while.

| | First of all, the Nomad is the bike for you. If you are vertically challenged, try a custom seat. I did. i put a Corbin Solo saddle on it. It lowers the seat hight at least an inch. |
