i am a fairly inexperienced rider, having never owned, but i do have about 900 miles logged. would this bike be a good dicision for me? the ninja 650r was my other choice. also, is maintenance going to be a hassle since i dont have a registered dealer in my state? thanks in advance with any help

I love the bike but local service has been poor with authorized dealer in Atlanta. (Same dealer sells and services Kawasaki too)
I am doing my own maintenance from now on. The manuals are available online at Hyosung USA site in download section.
Parts might be an issue until the bike gets enough sales in the USA.
The Kawasaki has fuel injection so that can make maintenance easier.

i too am a newbie rider. i owned a 2000 yamaha R1 for 5 months before my brother in-law totled it. it does not matter the size of the bike, its all in the wrist. if you hit the throttle on a R1 and not used to the power, you better pray no one is around, cause the bike take off like a dragster. it took me about 4 months to get use to the power. to give you an example of power, i got the bike up to 98 mph in 1st gear and did not even red line. when i shifted it into 2nd and popped the clutch the back end felt like i was in a car with a shift kit. you have to look at what you want to buy, power or somthing to ride. the R1 has a in-line 4 cylinder ( lots of power ) a suzuki has a v-twin (it has enough power but nothing like a in line 4 cylinder. in other words would you buy a mustang with a 4-cyl or a 5.0 v-8.
go to www.buckcreekpowersports.com. these folks are about 5 miles from my house. they sell and service the hyosung

I had never been on a motorcyle untill the day i purchased my gt650r. I have about 2000 miles of fun under my belt now and still love my bike. but the best is yet to come with all the new aftermarket products being fitted for these bikes
