I am not sure what you mean by "not hearing alot of good reviews". On this website alone, as of now the VN900 is receiving 4.88 stars out of a possible 5 stars. The only thing, I do not care for is the seat, which I understand is normal for a stock seat.

There have been several articles in the mags calling it the middle weight cruiser of the year. Just past the 1200 mile mark on mine. All my friends (even the harley owners) feel it's a great looking ride and it has NO problem keeping up with the pace.

What you've probably been hearing are a lot of Harley guys putting down a bike that is one of the best cruisers out there. You won't find a better cruiser for the money, hands down. There are a few plastic chrome pieces on it that I'm not crazy about, but try to buy a Harley at this price. This bike handles like a sportbike but is comfortable for the long haul. Check out my review after 1400 miles.

I bought the Vulcan 900 Classic ocean blue on 8/1/06. My first bike was a 250 Virago to learn on. My first ride on my Vulcan leaving the dealership felt like I was riding an aircraft carrier. After 1,600 miles later I find it to be a large bike but wouldn't want anything smaller. It's great riding in the city or on the highway. I am going to get a solo Mustang seat in December only because I like the looks of them. Would like to get Cobra pipes for it because it is a little quiet for me but it does have a nice deep powerful rumble with the stock pipes. I love the belt drive and FI. I don't think you can buy a better bike today for $7,300.00. The only negative thing I can think of with the Vulcan 900 is I don't have two of them.

I also have a 900. I think it is the first year blues. I should of waited for the 2007 models.

You've got to be kidding. Check out the latest Motorcycle Cruiser magazine and you'll see the VN900 on the cover with a full length article discussing the fact that it may very well be the best cruiser out there (not just middle-weight cruiser). Other than a strange throttle sticking problem in 3rd gear, the bike is amazing.
