| | I am getting a FXD in August and am wondering about the overall balance and any potential height problems with someone 5,5. I have riden the Hugger and have no problems, however the Honda & Yamaha I sat on appeared to have better weight distribution. I sat on the FXD but was not able to test ride. The bike has a deposit and is coming home with me, I just want constructive criticism from someone with experience |

| I own a 2003 FXD. I'm only 5'6 and I love it. I lowered the rear of the bike with a White Bros lowering kit and I put a LePera "King Cobra" seat on it as well. No problems whatsoever with height now!!!

| | I have a inseam of 30" no problems with bike .You can add the lowering shocks to the rear or you can get the whole kit for front & back from Harley lowers the bike 1 inch in the seat.I did the back only and it sets lower than my cousins Hugger. |

| | You can buy lowering kits from the aftermarket. I ride an old '98 Superglide. I can't believe your dealer didn't allow you a test ride. Shame. Our local dealer loves to let people test ride bikes. All you do is make an appt. and wear a helmet and have a license. Your dealer sucks. Please tell them that for me. |
