| | I just picked up my new Vegas at the dealer tonight. Just 20 miles down the road the engine light came on. The dealer is closed for the next three days, so I can't get in touch with them. Now the bike is just sitting in the back of my truck. Is this a serious problem or does anyone know what the problem might be? The dealer added a tach, can this just be hook up incorrectly? Help!! |

| You might want to check the oil and make sure you have the right amount in the bike. I also have a vegas and the dealer told me you need the exact amount of oil or you bike will not run right. Also check your owners manual.

| | Info: I discovered the problem. The dealer washed the bike just before I picked it up. The sensor got wet and gave a false reading. The dealer says he has seen it happen before. I put almost 200 miles on the bike the next day and the check engine light never came on again. Thought you might want to know in case it happens to any of you while away from home. :-) |
