Will the Sync 3 prolong the engine life?

Yes, It's well worth the investment to put it in. Costs a little more at regular oil change intervals. Peace of mind is what you buy.
Its one on the most complex harley engines made,
Find out what the super race team runs in the VR1000, which is the launching pad for the V-Rod.

Syn3 is an excellent oil, also consider using AMSOIL too. It runs about the same price, and I havent had any problems with it either. Really dont believe all the PROP-A-GANDA out there that this oil is better than that oil. Screaming Eagle Syn3 is just as good as AMSOIL, its a matter of preference, just like FORD or Chevy. I prefer Syn3. Its easier to find, sometimes many local bike shops will even have a spare case of SYN3 sitting around. I have clocked over 100,000 miles on my springer that I sold this past year and it was broken in on 360 oil and switched to SYN3 at 500 miles. I have also run plain 360 oil for the life of an engine. I can easily take a bike and get 150,000 miles on regular 360 oil. I am not the best at changing on schedule either. Just imagine how long it would go if I did.

Yes, it is. It has 4 times the sher strength and it hold onto parts. It will increase life and maintain a tight engine MUCH longer. Go for it.

Absolutly will. As a petrolium chemist I can tell you that it will, but only use it after break-in or your engine will never fully break in. Mobil 1 is one of the very best oils. But other syns do well also.
