The ZX-14, at least until the '07 'busa comes out. There are good reviews with specs and comparisions in both the May issue of Motor Cyclist and the June issue of Cycle World.

According to a test of the two on the SPEED channel, The Kaw 1400 posted the lowest ET in 1/4 Mile. The Kaw 1400 is speed limited to 186 mph (300 kph) according to a gentlemens agreement that Kaw intends to stick to (source: Cycle World)

When it comes down to tenths of a second in the quarter mile anyway it depends on the jockey. There are several bikes ZX14, Hayabusa, ZX12R, GSXR 1000, FZ1 that are within tenths of a second in the quarter mile times. Depending on the jockey anyone of these machines could win at the dragstrip. You can read all of the articles that you want, but that does not make you a better rider. My older brother has a 2004 Hayabusa with a power commander, Vance & Hines pipe and on my stock ZX14 I can wipe up the pavement with him without a problem, but I have more experience drag racing bikes, which means I out launch him and its over. Once you get a second or two with either of these bikes it is pretty tough to play catch up when you only have 10 seconds to play with. On the top end it is anybody guess since the regulations have been in place since the first 1999 Hayabusa eclipsed the 200 MPH barrier it has been a gentlemens agreement to govern the bikes at 186 or so MPH before the government stepped in (insurance companies). To mandate it, WE GOT LUCKY ON THAT ONE. I hope that this helps you.
