| I recently bought the 2002 RS and was wondering a few things... What aftermarket exhaust would be the best to get. I was considering either the one from Triumph or a Two Brothers. Also, are there any nice mods you can do to this bike? I'd like to add more power to it and make it look a little sharper.
Thanks.

| I have a 2000 RS and i put on a two bros carbon fiber slipon. Sweet pipe nice sound.only downside is stainless steel is polished and not chrome. The triumph one looks like something LEGO makes so that was out. Took about a half hour to put on and cost about 1 hour labor to have tune put in. Add a K&N filter for $50. well worth it. power commander if you got extra $. Check out starcycle.com in california. I got my carbon fiber two bros for $388 total. Nobody could match the deal.

| | The triumph exhaust probably makes more power, since it also comes with the new FI program to take advantage of the pipe. Its probably more expensive though... but if something goes wrong, you can blame the dealer! |

| Hi Jason, I nearly filled my pants at the price they wanted for after market pipes, So being an engineer (retired)I supervised the work done on the existing factory can. I got the end removed carefully cutting through the weld with a hacksaw. Emptied out 5 pounds of scrap metal. You wouldn't believe the crap that came out of it mate!! welded in a perferated pipe packed it up with muffler packing (wasn't that fussy)on ammounts. Welded on the end polished the weld with a buff it looked brand new. And walaaa we got it right first time. An awesome sound not a racket but a distinct tripple note!! and your money US dollar cost me $95.00 beat that. and I still have my original can with A Triumph decal on the outlet end looks fabulous and the muffler runs so cool you can put your hands on it and not even get burned. You will have to put the aftermarket programme into the onboard computer though, otherwise you get backfiring on throttle back. I fully reccomend this mod it really will save you a bundle of dollars to spend on her indoors. So give it a try you will be astounded by the results and loved by the lady of the house....Keith in New Zealand

| Jason - I too have an '02 RS, and opted for the carbon fiber factory exhaust. It adds some growl to the exhaust note, (without beig obnoxious), and you pick up a little HP to boot. My only caution here is to make certain that the shop doing the work knows what they're doing, and loads the correct map for the pipe. If the wrong map is loaded, the bike will stall, backfire, and generally run like crap (ask me how I know...). Good luck!
