| I just bought a 2006 1200 sportster I love it I only have one problem with it. It is way too quiet. What can I do to get a firecracker sound?

| The simplest answer I could give you would be to upgrade to Screamin' Eagle II mufflers. They're about $250 for a set. Just ask your dealer. They should be willing to hook you up.

| I had the same issue with my '06 Sportster, and I went through some major headaches trying to find the right pipes that sounded good, were louder than stock but not rediculously loud(I'd like to stay on good terms with my neighbors). Lets face it, REALLY loud doesn't necessarily sound good, in fact REALLY loud usually sounds REALLY bad.
I first bought the Cycle Shack slip-ons, installed them, and they sounded terrible, and much louder than my friends bike who has drag pipes! So I returned them, and bought the Vance @ Hines slip-ons, and their quiet baffles for those pipes. The V&H slip-ons look great, and with the quiet baffles, they are only moderately loud, but they sound fantastic with good volume, without angrying every neighbor whenever I fire the bike up!

| | I bought the Vans and Himes ShortShot Staggered. What a sound. Excellent choice for this bike. Go to vansandhines.com to listen to them |
