I am thinking about the Roadliner for my next bike. I will be going from a 2000 V Star 650 and was wondering if this is too much bike. I have been riding for 6+ yrs. Or is the new Vulcan 900 enough bike. My type of riding is mostly backroads with an occasional jant on the highway.

Thanks

AG

I had the same worry as this was my first bike in 20 years. I say it would be no problem. Test ride one and you will see. I love it.

I had not ridden in over 25 years. I bought a Roadliner without even test riding it. Now have 300 miles on it and absolutely no regrets. Get it.

I had a 2001 vstar 650 classic and just bought a Roadliner Midnight a few days ago. The bike is amazing and I had no problems handling it or using the power...
its just an awesome bike in every way!

Go for it... the Roadliner handles better than most smaller bike... you'll love it!
Very Happy after 4k miles!

Go for it-I was riding a 650 too, then got a 1100 c;lassic for a few months. Same worries as you but for me it was more about getting my feet planted on the ground. Bought the bike anyways no regrets. After riding this bike you'll probably be doing many 'jaunts' on the highway...with glee!!!!!

I have always told people the bigger bike the better they handle. I say go for it!

I have a 2006 Roadliner... with some mods, but the biggest bonus about this bike is the balance. It handles like a big crotch rocket....I'm 6'2" 210, but my 12 yr old daughter puts it up off the stand.. she weighs 75#! SERIOUSLY well balanced. It's a dream. I went from a 2001 Vulcan Nomad (1500)... which weighs close to the same...totally different bike! I have 13,000 miles on my Liner, and look forward to the next 13,000, and the next....completely satisfied!
(Mods: Mustang seats, backrest, windshield, hwy bars & pegs, bags, Cobra Longshots, FI2000 Injector system, 2.5" handle bar riser).
