As an owner of a new '06 I can tell you that at any rpm above 5K you lay on the throttle in second and yer goin airborne. Keepin your wits and using some restraint (as in doing this in a safe place) you can start with a slow rise (depending on how much throttle you lay in) and increase as your skill and familiarity increases.

All this is assuming that you have wheelied BEFORE and this is NOT your first experience. THe ZX-10R is NOT a bike for rookie manuevers.

Bottom line .. this bike will wheel up in any gear !

Chop the throttle after 6,000 rpm and snap it back open in 1st or 2nd and away you go. Be careful how much you open it back up beacuse it comes up quick. If you have not wheelied before be safe and always keep your right foot on the rear brake.
