My manual has, lights when 4.2 is left. It is more like when there is 2.5 left. My light came on and I put in 2gal. ran 85 miles and it came back on put in 2 more gal. All this is true if the tank holds 4.5gal like the manual says but it has been wrong before!!?? Something in the Japanese to English translation I guess? This is with normal riding(speed limit/at or under 4000rpm) still breaking it in. I hope this helps.

Ya the manual must be a misprint it says it’s a 4.2 gal or 4 litters before light comes on. So the 4.2 must = like 1.2 gals or so but I get like 65 to 80 gals before the light comes on I think it should be more like 150 before light comes on. Anyone else think their fuel light comes on to early?

My light comes on when i have covered around 120 miles...and then i put in around 3.5 gallons...so it seems to be right on with what the manual says

Ok it must take some time for the fuel light to work right. After 400 miles it started coming on a little over 100 miles. but the 1st 100 miles it was coming on after 30 to 60 didnt really need any gas at that point either.
