| Seriously considering purchasing the Vulcan 2000 LT in the very near future. Very beautiful bike and it gets the wife's approval because its "red and has pretty studs on the seat and bags". Gotta just love a woman that looks at the whole picture!
Anyway, I am curious if anyone has modified their stock exaust by either punching the baffles or removing and if they would share how they did so.
Thanks!

| I have a 2004 vulcan 2000. I used a hole saw on a 18" drill extnesion and drilled thru the pipes. I stopped short of drilling thru the last plate. you can feel and hear a differacne. I added a thunder air kit and powercommander kit.
i just now took those pipes off and installed cobras...man they sound like thunder. I went to download the correct map for them however and i am having problems getting the bike to run. anyone have a differant map for this?

| I used a long punch. There are only 2 welds on each baffle. Hit the baffles on the outside rim and it will bust the welds and the whole baffle comes out. Busted all 3 baffles out. Sounds good but have an awful whistle when i let off the gas. Going to drill out the honeycomb between the 2nd and 3rd baffle and see what that does....can't get worse.
