I have a 2003 Triumph T100 and i noticed that the paint around the fuel filler opening is soft and starting to chip away. It is on the inside of the hole where the cap threads in. Is this common on these models, and how can i fix it.

I just bought a 2007 T-100 and it does the same thing. I took it back to the dealer and they adjusted the carbs (more rich) but it still does - but to a lesser extent. Cali bikes are more prone.
