| I am looking at buying a gently used 2004 Savage, I am worried about a remark made about the bikes backfiring. Is this a common occurance when slowing down?

| | Yes, I own a 2004 Savage and let me tell you that it's the only problem I have incurred. I know that my neighbor has the new boulevard (same as the Savage) and it does the exact same thing. I find that I love my bike and don't worry about the noise...they know I am comming. |

| I have a 2000 Savage and they all have a backfire problem. It can be fixed by changing the idle mixture screw on the carberator and removing a spacer shim inside the carborator. See the web site suzukisavage.com for detailed information.
