| Thinking about purchasing a triumph America, however I've never really driven one. Sat on one at the dealer however. Is the gearing tall enough for cruising around 65-75 MPH on the higheay? I was told that the speedmaster felt as if it could use another gear when cruising. ALso, is the additional windshield adequate for total wind protectioni?
Additonally I'm looking for a good deal on either a 2005 leftover or 06. I prefer the Mullberry Re. Or, if a earlier year, green or blue.
Price ( out the door including tax and tags)would like to pay between 7-7500.
I live in Monmouth County NJ |

| Many riders have changed counterspockets on the Amer. and the Spdmstr. to raise the gearing. The stock Am. is 17 and stock Spd. is 16. You can add 2 teeth and keep the same chain. The bikes perform very well and you're not always wanting the extra gear. I changed my Spdmstr. to the 18 and am glad i did. For wind protection i put on the Memphis Fats and lowers. You have to order the mounting kit for the Honda Magna. Both items work well and look good too. willie

| A $19.00-19 tooth primary gear will fix the gearing problem. However it will run all day long at those speeds with the stock gearing. But the 19 tooth gear is the one you want.
There are some of them around for your price. I just bought an '04 Speedmaster for $5500.00-with the 328 miles on it.Good luck & You'll love the bike!
