| I am thinking about buying the Honda Sabre but I have not ridden a bike this size before. Is this to big for a newbee?

| | This is a great bike. The Sabre is also my first streetbike. Great power and comfort. It handles great and it light to ride. Plus short ride hight makes it great at stoplights. |

| | First thing: Find a rider safety course. The confidence you'll gain will quickly broaden your definition of which bikes you can handle. The Sabre is not one to necessarily learn on, but someone comfortable with the basics will quickly be able to handle it safely. |

| | I picked up a 2004, out of the crate, in 2006. Prior to the sabre, I owned a RD400 Yamaha, back in 79. I haven't ridden since 1979 and found this bike to be a dream to ride. Very easy to regain my confidence in on the road. My advice is the same as an earlier one, take a rider course. It is well worth it, plus a 150 - 250 is much easier to control when doing your riding test than an 1100, namely on those U-Turns in the little box. |

| | Ditto: Motorcyclesafteyfoundation.com take the course first before buying a bike. My wife took it at age 49 then got a 1100 honda sabre. the 1100 is only about 40 lbs heavier then the 750cc shadow.She is not going to lift up either one by herself if it dropped. and the extra power of the 1100 is nice. |

| Louie, depends on your size. I'm 5'10, 190lbs, and I find the Sabre perfect sized. This is my first bike and I have no problem handling it. Very comfortable!
