| | The bike does put a lot of pressure on your wrists, but once you get used to it, it's not bad at all. A couple months ago, I rode from LA to Palm Springs and my wrists felt fine. |

| Hi there. I've just checked one of these out today actually. It's a nice bike, with a reasonable amount of power, but, I didn't like the lean down to the bars. Yes! - it does put quite a bit of your weight onto your arms/shoulders, etc. The suspension is quite firm and gave a real firm ride - more ideal for the race track more than your commute to work kind of bike. Beautiful colour and paint finish ('red'-what other colour would suit a Duke I ask you?), but for me, I just don't like the pointy, sharp, and angular fairing.
Still, it's still a 'Duke', and it gets you all the right looks.
If you want a Ducati, but you want something that's just a 'tad' more practable, go with the Monster.
The 800 is quick and surprisingly quiet - re-the engine(air cooled don't forget) and the exhaust note!
Anyway, you probably own one by now, but good luck with what ever you chose or have chosen. :-)
PS - With that firm ride, the bumps really punish the arms even more! Having said that, you may be able to dial the suspension into your liking (soften it up a little) with the amount of adjustments it appears to have. |

| I ride my bike 40miles every day to work, I love the looks of it way better than the monster, and the aerodinamics are much better too, its very comfortable to ride at high speeds, but at slow speds i wish i had a monster for only that moment. There is another little ting to think about, to top oil you need to remove the whole right hand faring.

| Wrist and neck can be a problem, riding position is at best bearable! I dont and would not use for long rides. Its not design for comfort but performance, The Monster would be a much better commuter and still very sporty. This Duc, as its name says, its a SuperSport.
