| | I just bought a 2003 V-Star 1100 and I love it except for the exhaust. I was told you can drill small holes in the end to improve the sound. Can someone tell me how big the holes should be and will it hurt anything else? |

| It makes a good sound but it makes alot of poping when you have back pressure on the motor going down hill or just letting off the throttle. However all you have to do is get a 3/4 inch hole drilling bit and pop them baffles out.

| | I put about 4, 3/8" holes in each pipe end and it seemed to make it maybe 10-15% louder. Then I ran into a guy with some used Cobra slip ons for $100 and I bought them. |

| I suggest save the money and buy some after market. why drill on the pipe then eventually have to rejet just to finally spend the money to buy aftermarkets. Save and buy some bolt on pipes, put them on yourself then rejet, you will thank yourself in the long run.
