| Anyone know if the Gas tank is interchangeable with the Nightrod? I like the seat height and rake of the nightrod but like the size of the gas tank of the streetrod? How many MPG are you getting?

| i just bought the night rod 2006 and it had a full tank of gas right from the dealer. i drove about 55 miles and have barely over half a tank of fuel. the fuel tank shrunk when H-D lowered the seat. i guess i will be filling the tank more often but i hardly ever ride over 120 miles in one trip

| No gas tank interchagability. Frame is different, seat hight is higher allowing more fuel tank capacity.

| Haven't crunched the numbers but not the 47 highway as listed. I know this.

| I, would ride it and enjoy it for now. I, believe in the near future there well be aftermarket fuel tanks available.
the only thing i, have found available for extending fuel capability , is the willow bag. and a fuel cantainer from msr. which holds like a quart of fuel for your saddlebag.
goodluck and safe riding. |

| | I'm getting 43 mpg I have just over 1,000 miles on it. Not being to mellow with it so that should be a fairly accurate milage account. As far as the fuel tank, No they can't be switched. Very different ride height and frame will not allow it. |

| No, its not.
With some serious customizing, maybe,You , should check out V-Rod forum, someone is working on a bigger fuelcell.
Rumor , has it, that there is one in germany, but, is like 1,000 bucks.
Personal, the range given , for the size of the 3.7 fuel cell. is enough, you would have to have a iron butt, to last any longer without a fuel break.

| | I see the 2007 Night Rod tank is larger than the 2006. I wonder if the 2007 tank will fit the 2006. If not I guess we have to get one of those small thermos-type tanks to toss in the saddle bag. |

| | You should get 45 miles per gallon after breakin and with reasonable riding. The 07 tank will not fit the 06 model according to HD home office. |
