| | Has anyone decked out a Shadow Sabre as a tourer? How did it perform on an extended trip? Was the stock seat comfortable enough or is an aftermarket seat a necessity? |

| I have always heard a stock seat on the Sabre is uncomfortable...I did not believe it, so I did a 300 mile ride a few months ago.....It was bad..

| I have heard a lot about the stock seat being uncomfortable. For me it was no big deal. When I finally got the time for a 300 mile ride it lost some of its comfort, but not a killer.
Switched to the Mustang Vintage Wide mainly for the better half, she couldn't last more than 20 min on the stocker. She was much happier and I have done over 400 miles in a day without the comfort problem encountered after 300 on the stocker. If you are going for long haul touring, then I highly reccomend an aftermarket touring seat.

| rode from michigan to washington DC, and found the stock seat a little rough at first, but got used to it, but recommend a after market seat.

| The stock seat on my 2001 Sabre began hurting my back after only riding for two hours. I purchased a Mustang seat and drove over 3000 miles in one week while touring through the Rockies. Best money ever spent! My next bike will have a Mustang seat as well.
