The Duc mentioned in your question is a 748cc V-Twin. The Aprilia RSV1000R is a 999cc V-Twin. The displacement, speed and power advantage goes easily to the Aprilia. A better comparison would be the Duc 999/999s/999r vs the Aprilia Mille or the Duc 749d-749r to the HonSuziKawaYam CBRGSXR-1ZX 600 family of bikes. Or even the Triumph Daytona 650.
